Mutual aid to Wyandanch

This morning at 2:39 am our department was activated for a mutual aid request to the Wyandanch Fire Company for a residential structure fire. Upon arrival, our crew stretched a 1 3/4 handline assisting with fire extinguishment. Our department responded with Chief of Department Robert Macaluso, 2nd Assistant Chief Vincent Jackson and quint 1-4–14.

The Deer Park Fire Department regrets to announce the passing of Ex-Captain John Schwier. Ex-Captain John Schwier served and protected the Deer Park community in engine company #2 for 51 years. He is a World War II and Korean War Navy Veteran.
