On Monday, March 17, 2025, the Deer Park Fire Department Juniors had a visit to Babylon Central Fire Alarm at Town Hall in Lindenhurst. Our junior members had the unique opportunity to engage with the dedicated 911 dispatchers who serve our Deer Park community and the Town of Babylon fire departments. From understanding how calls are received to seeing firsthand how the right crews are dispatched, our juniors gained invaluable insight into the logistics and meticulous work involved in this vital role.
A heartfelt thank you to the Chief of Staff Mike Vicino at BCFA, and dispatchers: Darrell, Nick (a dedicated DPFD Lieutenant๐จโ๐), and Paulie for making this learning experience so impactful. We also extend our appreciation to the leaders of our Juniors program and the inspiring kids themselves. Your eagerness to serve and learn fills us with pride! ๐ซก
